Taipan
Although the Taipan was designed in 1981 its origin stems from a composite of the world's consummate racing catamarans, Tornado and A-Class, and still leads the pack as the most durable, high performance and versatile craft available - even in today's marketplace! The design, construction and power to weight ratio offers a truly electrifying ride for the social thrill seeker, up to the seasoned racer, in a wide range of wind and sea conditions. Taipan is a one-design class with full options on sail, foils and accessory manufacturers. Add a spinnaker and it's also class legal for F-16 class racing.
Sailed single handed, or two-up with a jib, the true values of this craft are little known but highly appreciated by those who sail it.
